Youreable was founded by Joe Rajko, a charity worker from Leeds, after winning the Channel 4 eMillionaire show in July 2000. Over the years it has become the home of a vibrant community of disabled people, supporting and helping each other by sharing their experiences and offering advice.
In late 2009 national charity the Disabled Living Foundation (DLF) took over running Youreable from the previous owners Patterson Medical. Following a review period, Youreable has re-launched the website with a new design and new technology.
